Mark Rivett – composer/arranger/musician/shaper
Mark is an Australian born composer/arranger/musician who lives in Malibu, California. After 20 years at the creative helm of Song Zu, he recently sold his share in the company to pursue more passion projects (and more surf..!!). Song Zu is one of the world’s largest, most respected and awarded studios specializing in music and sound design for advertising, television and film and has state of the art studios in Sydney and Singapore.

Mark works primarily as a film composer and over the couple of years has scored the music for ‘The Network’ by Oscar winning producer/director Eva Orner, 'The Life And Crimes Of Doris Payne’ by Matthew Pond and Kirk Marcolina and co-composed the score for ‘To Spring From The Hand’ by Australian director, Neil Lawrence.
Recently Mark has been busy on various TV commercial projects including musically directing and producing the Randy Newman song 'Feels Like Home' for the latest TV commercials for Australian airline Qantas.
He is also a partner in Doggieman Media, a Los Angeles based media company specialising in online content production Mark is also the driving force behind All Guitar Network, an OTT channel specializing in original and aggregated content for guitar players.

He also keeps busy as a gigging/session musician, playing with various artists and bands in and around the Los Angeles area, and is known mainly for his Jazz and country music chops on guitar, banjo, mandolin and Dobro.
Over the years, Mark has received many major awards for music excellence including Cannes Gold Lions, London International Advertising Awards, Gold Clios, AWARD Awards, ATV Awards, Australian Guild of Screen Composer Awards and New York Festival Awards.

Mark also designs and hand shapes surfboards, predominantly mini-Simmons and twin fin Fish inspired designs.
